OneNote Shortcuts

I must be soaring to new levels of personal growth now that I'm using OneNote as opposed to a good old text editor.  Moving quickly is key to getting the most value out of this program.  Here's my workflow and shortcuts.  

I was trying to start new notebooks for each project, but that doesn't work well with the shortcuts.  If you could easily switch between Notebooks that might be different.  Hierarchy is like this. 

Notebook > Sections > Pages

So I recommend keeping as much in one Notebook as possible.  Sections for projects and pages to organize those Sections for your projects.  

Get going.. 

windows key > search One > enter
(wish there was a shortcut to jump to only this window)

Jot down a quick note

win + N (Start OneNote Quick Note)
win + shift + N (Start OneNote Last Place)

Create a new Section

ctrl + T

Create new page in a Section

ctrl + shift + N

Move between Sections

ctrl + Tab

Move between Pages of a Section

ctrl + page down
ctrl + page up

Creating new headings help keep your notes neat.

ctrl + alt + 1         // heading 1
ctrl + alt + 2         // heading 2
ctrl + alt + n         // heading n
